SOLE MATE
Sole Mate is a small physics-based adventure game where you play as a sock looking for your matching pair while remaining as clean as possible. It was created with a controller in mind to allow each of the triggers to "grab" onto the environment with each end of the sock and the joystick to roll/move in a given direction.
It was developed by myself, 5 other programmers, and an artist for the Global Game Jam 2021 where the theme was Lost and Found.
As a team we decided to develop a polished small scale game and to manage our time effectively by avoiding feature creep and managing our scope appropriately.
PROJECT FEATURES
Some of the interesting parts of the project I worked on.

OBJECT SPAWNERS & PICKUPS
I developed the functionality for the in-game pickups and their spawn methods.
SCENE SWITCHING
I worked on a robust method for switching scenes at runtime including the loading screens.

MENUS & UI
I worked on the menu and UI logic and placements to develop a smooth and polished experience.
